Sharyn O’Hare (stage name Sharina Star) is a dynamic, motivating speaker who brings her special brand of fun to any occasion. A celebrated intuitive, Sharina began her radio counselling career with a guest spot on the Stan Zemanek show in 1995. Her audience appear was quickly evident and she went from novel guest to regular segment to hosting her own show, Sharina’s Encounters from 1999 to 2018. In her twenty-eight years of radio experience, Sharina’s colleagues at 2UE included some of Australian radio’s most lauded announcers such as John Kerr, John Laws, and award-winning Alan Jones. Her program had an audience of millions and was one of the highest rating shows of its era.

Sharina is also a well-known face on television. She made regular appearances on Beauty and the Beast, Mornings with Kerry-Anne, the Midday Show, Sunrise, Studio 10, A Current Affair, the Bert Newton Show and Mornings with Sonia & David. In print media, Sharina has been a regular columnist and feature writer in Woman’s Day, New Idea, Family Circle, That’s Life and Take 5 magazine. A regular double page as a columnist for 15 years. Sharina's first book, The Fortune Teller, was published by Hay House in 2006.  She also has a range of best-selling card decks available through Rockpool Publishing.to date has written 9 books.

Before her radio career, Sharyn ran a successful modelling agency. She appeared in major commercials (including Alpine and Coca Cola), hosted fashion shows, swimwear tours, hotel promotions, and corporate events. It was here that she developed her unique, uplifting style that makes the audience feel part of the show.

Sharyn recently returned to film and has been involved with appearances on Home & Away,
Doctor Doctor, Deadly Woman and has a Tv series in production.

The radio station closed down in 2018 and Sharyn reinvented herself by becoming a Private Investigator. Sharyn is a person who thrives on high -pressure and fast paced situations. Striving for positive results with motivation and effective strategies for achieving her goals.

 

Sharyn recently completed a Diploma in Counselling and Communications at Torrens University in Sydney (having been a radio counsellor for   20 years) to enhance her accreditation and educational academic standards.
